The Tax Board of Review consists of three members and two alternates appointed by the Town Council for a three year term. The duties and responsibilities of the board include hearing and considering the appeal of any property owner concerning the amount of his or her assessed valuation as determined by the Tax Assessor.
If the valuation of a property is determined to be incorrectly assessed, the board has authority to order a correction.
The board does not have a determined schedule and only meets on an as-needed basis.
