Town Clerk Functions
Some of the duties performed by the Town Clerk’s Office include receiving and recording of all land evidence records, processing and maintaining voter registrations, preparation and maintenance of all elections including the Financial Town Meeting, probate, business license applications, dog licenses and vital records, which include the issuance of marriage licenses and certified copies of birth, death and marriage certificates. In addition to receiving, recording and issuing these documents, this office is responsible for the maintenance, indexing and storage of these records as required by state law.
