Mission

The Assessor’s office has a range of duties that include discovering, listing, and valuing all taxable and exempt property, ensuring that assessments are made properly and uniformly, and producing and certifying an accurate tax roll on an annual basis.

Information on a property’s characteristics, such as size and location, is gathered and used to calculate a property’s assessed value.

The assessor’s office is also responsible for updating and maintaining property records, including ownership, exemptions, mapping, and improvements upon a parcel.
